November 17 is Preemie Awareness Day.
The reason for Fiona’s prematurity is not really preventable, we still benefitted from all of the science and technology that has been developed to save little babies’ lives. Also, if I wasn’t being closely monitored, she probably would not have made it at all. So go out and support any local March of Dimes thing happening where you live, or even just drop your change in those plastic boxes by the supermarket checkout, because if you know me, then you know someone who has a preemie.
