Pumpkin Patch

Fiona’s first trip to a pumpkin patch was yesterday. Some of the moms from my mom’s group met up and took some photos. We also nursed our babies there and once again I was glad I stuck with it. It’s so nice to be able to feed Fiona with no fuss or bottles. I must say I really really like my mom’s group. They are an awesome bunch of ladies, a great resource, and no one seems to care of pass judgment on other’s parenting decisions. One mom had a nice camera and took lots of photos, but these are some that I took with John’s little point and shoot.

For once in her life, she fell asleep in public:

Note: She used to fit in this stroller. She was in this stroller in all the photos of the night walks. We had to tuck blankets around her to keep her from rolling. Now she has to bend her legs to fit.

Contemplating the pumpkins. I have mission to carve my two pumpkins tomorrow.

She looks so big to me. I know all parents experience disbelief at the rate their babies grow, but it’s especially interesting to preemie parents. I remember being excited when she passed the four pound mark. Now she is outgrowing clothes and taking up space. She just looks so huge to me because she weighs about 3 times what she did at birth.

Notice also that she has her hands together in some of the photos. This is a new development for this week. She also sort of batted at a hanging toy that is on her play mat today. She swung her arm and it moved. She looked at it then moved her arm up to it and sort of batted it again. I’m declaring that it was done on purpose.

Here is a last picture of what she is doing right now and every night. Sprawled out sleeping on John:
