She likes to lie sideways on John:
The modern dad:
Notice how she is lying sideways again.
And in the crook of an arm. She sleeps like this on me at night sometimes:
She is wearing a size 0-3 onesie instead of the usual newborn size. This one was decorated by someone at my baby shower. It fits nicely in length, but is a little wide. I am wearing the burp cloth after feeding her so that I do not have to wear her spit up.
She makes faces:
I love it when she wears pants!
She takes her milk very seriously:
Here is Uncle Richard holding her. She was very happy:
Today we took a very long walk and my legs are tired. Later, I wore Fi around the house in the Moby. Her fussy time is from about 4 or 5 until 9ish, when she promptly falls asleep (for now, I’m sure it will change next week). I was able to organize and clean up a little, and make my bed, all while Fi slept on my chest.
Here is an interesting tree we saw on our walk. It had potted plants hanging from it.
Speaking of spit up, I’m not sure if it’s lack of sleep or some weird baby hormone, but it seems like there are some things that I used to think are gross that just don’t bother me anymore.
For example, in the mornings I like to feed Fiona in bed. She frequently spits up after eating, sometimes 10 or 20 minutes after I’ve burped her. There is usually no warning and she doesn’t even seem to notice. Well, her oral emissions have gotten on the bed more than once. Today I finally got around to washing the sheets. So I’ve been sleeping in sheets that my daughter has vomited on. For three days.
Yup, I’m gross like that. John of course doesn’t care even though it’s his pillow that I use when I feed her.
