Today I slept from 5am until 8am. That is the most sleep I’ve had in a week. Fiona has been waking frequently, eating at night a lot, and is generally miserable. She’s been sleeping mostly in two hour stretches. One night she woke up every hour. I feel like a zombie. Fiona’s pediatrician told me that it looks like she’s getting ALL of her teeth. His quote, “Ridges as far as the eye can see.” None seem close to breaking through. While I am not excited about her getting teeth, I am tired of this teething thing. I just want it to happen so this torture (for both Fiona and me) can end.
Yesterday we went to the park for a Mom’s Group meet up. Lots of the babies are teething. I did learn of a vibrating teether. We bought one and Fiona really likes it.
On a more positive note, Fiona has discovered her toes and has been curling up in a ball on her changing table, playing with them. She is also sitting up a little:
She can stay in a sitting position for a few seconds. When she starts leaning over she can catch herself a little. It’s very cute.
I love her little smiles!
“Hmm…which toy should I play with now?”
What would you call this “animal”?
John calls it Pink Bat. I told him that bats do not have antennae (do they?) or hearts on their wings. It’s obviously a butterfly. He insists it’s a Pink Bat.
Last, here is a video of Fiona playing with her cube. I’m not sure if she’s trying to pull it down or just tugging on it for fun.
The last video is sideways, but I am still posting it because I think it’s funny how she’s shaking the rattle. She does this a lot with all the toys that make noise.
Cross your fingers for a good night!
