Happy New Year!

Fiona is teething! Really teething! She has a bloody looking bump, you can see tooth ridges, she is chewing and sucking on everything, whining occasionally. She’s doing really well, except that her sleep is being disrupted. She was sleeping really well, only eating once a night, then she started waking twice a night, then three times a night for the last two or three nights. I am so tired! Her gums are puffy and she is a drool machine! I’m not ready! Wah!

However, she is cuter than ever! She is inch-worming her way around. She doesn’t get far, but it’s a start to crawling. She gets her bum up in the air and licks the ground. She is also sticking her tongue out a lot and if we put her in a sitting position with her hands in front and something to occupy her, she can stay in the sit for a few seconds without support!

Two videos of Fiona attempting to make forward progress. I love the overalls and bunny slippers. I think they make her look particularly fierce.

We went to the park and walked around. There was a tree that was decorated. Fiona fell asleep in the ERGO. Lately, she has been falling asleep in the stroller and the ERGO. This is new for her. Usually, she protests vociferously. She’s even calm in the car seat, falling asleep or playing quietly with a toy. We went for a run on the beach on Tuesday. It was our third run in a week with Fiona in the BOB. She slept through half of it, so we went to Seaward Fish N’ Chips again (same place we ate lunch on Thanksgiving). It was such a warm and pleasant day, and ended with the arrival of Krista, Dan, and Sophie and their annual visit to Ventura. It rained Wednesday and was cold and windy on Thursday when we went back to the beach.
