First, Fiona is definitely crawling forward now, and she is fast! She cannot be left alone. Friday she stood up while supporting herself on a lawn chair!
Today we walked to a park not far from our house and Fiona got to experience a swing for the first time:
She played on the grass and tried to eat a leaf:
And the strap from the Ergo carrier. Seconds later, a bird in the sky pooped on it. The bird also got John’s t-shirt.
She slid down the slide (sorry the first video is sideways, blame the camera man):
She also slid down alone, but alas it was not captured on film :(
On the way home, she relaxed in her stroller by putting her foot up:
I put some wall decals next to her changing table with the hope that she will be interested enough to forget about climbing off it when I take too long to change her diaper.
I also put some underneath the shelf. This is her view:
Fiona has eaten some new and interesting foods: pieces of chicken (not just chicken puree), smoked salmon (she really liked it), kiwi, melted mozzarella cheese, and of course grass and a eucalyptus leaf (although she did not actually eat the last one, just chewed on it for a really long time).
I am sure there is much more but I can’t remember anymore. Sleep has been spotty at best, although she slept through the night again on Friday and she gained 5 ounces this week so she now weighs 16 1/2 pounds.
Speaking of trips, Have fun on your Wine on the Rhine cruise Miriam and Reg! Safe travels and take lots of pictures!
With love, Keren
