Today is my birthday! I took Fiona to camp again and she had a much better start than yesterday. She cried when I left, but according to the teacher, she stopped as soon as I left. So basically just long enough to break my heart and make me feel like the worst mom in the world. Go Mommy Guilt!
John came home early, and after nap, three of us and my dad went to the zoo. It was a nice afternoon, not many people, not too hot, lots of animals out. Fiona really wanted to see the lions, but alas, they were hiding. Most of the other animals were out and we enjoyed ourselves.

Fiona has a chocolate cake ring around her mouth. When we came home from the zoo, my mom was at my house with dinner on the table. After dinner, she brought out an ice cream cake (my favorite birthday desert) and I gave a little bit of the cake and ice cream to Fiona. When I got out the camera, she stuck her tongue out, then made a funny face, hence the first photo. I just missed the tongue.
