Things are getting back to normal here. We are still recovering from The Colds From Hell, but it’s down to just a nagging cough and occasional runny nose, with the addition of immense night sweating for me. Otherwise, Fiona is back to reading in her chair:
Her new favorite books are her first year photo albums. She loves to point out the Mommy, Daddy, and baby, but doesn’t recognize that she is the baby, even though we tell her.
She repeats every word we say and knows the color purple.
When we returned from Germany, we set this up:
It’s a water and sand table and Fiona loves it.
She also likes to hide in the little potting bench:
Wear very little around the house:
And ride in her new Radio Flyer wagon:
We made another trip to Underwood Family Farms, and this time Fiona got to pet some animals:
She climbed a hay bale mountain that was not there last time:
“Drove” the combine:
So casual with only one hand on the wheel.
Sat in a train:
And rode the horses again:
She was like a pro! The smiles on her face were unbelievable! She was laughing and really enjoying herself. I didn’t quite get it on camera because I was busy waving at her. The workers were impressed with her posture and attitude. Much better than last time she was there when she looked nervous and wanted me to hold her.
On a Too Much Information note: Fiona has begun to tell us when she pooped. Many times she has looked at me, or my mother, or John, and declared “poop!” When we check her diaper, sure enough, there is poop. She doesn’t do it every time, but I can tell that it is starting to bother her when she has a dirty diaper (this is good right now when neither John nor I can smell anything).
Have a great week!
