Back to the Zoo

On Thursday we went back to the zoo with some of my favorite moms. The weather was wonderful – sunny, a little breezy, not too hot or cold. All the animals were out in their cages, and there weren’t many people around. One of the things I will miss most when I go back to work next year is the ability to go places during the week that are normally crowded on weekends.

The alligator and the crocodile. How can anyone not think these are cute? Just look at that smile!

The elephants. I think this is the first time I’ve actually seen the elephants’ faces, rather than their hind quarters.

Me with Fiona in the ERGO, her favorite was to travel:

It looks like she was burying her head, but she was actually eating. In the photo on the left, she was sleeping.

It was a very pleasant day and Fiona napped in the car on the way home. Sometimes I can’t wait until she actually appreciates places like the zoo, and other times I just want her to stay the way she is now forever. She’s growing up so fast, it is scary sometimes.
