Victoria started rolling on Friday. She will not stay on her back anymore. She gets onto her stomach, gets her arms out, and “airplanes”, then screeches like a dinosaur. Sometimes she plays with a toy if it happens to be in her hand or chews on her hand or sucks her thumb. She can’t get back onto her back so she gets frustrated. I told her she needs to learn to flip over again, but she didn’t really listen to me.
Fiona’s school photos arrived today. Here are the photos from all three years of preschool:
I can’t believe how my little baby is growing up into a little girl. I never get tired of looking at her face.
Fiona started gymnastics a few weeks ago:
Other stuff...we put in the garden this weekend:
John sprinkled the yard with cornmeal gluten, which is supposed to be an organic pre-emergent herbicide. We hope it keeps the weeds at bay. We paid someone to pull them all this year because they were so bad, they were as tall as I am.
We dyed Easter eggs:
Fiona is getting really good at coloring:
Victoria pretending to be an airplane:
Victoria watching her sister:
Sitting in the Bumbo:
We went to Lindsey’s birthday party. Fiona with Uncle Richard:
There was a ropes course. Fiona was too small to go on it, but she was able to help pull some of the ropes. She also got to try her hand at archery:
There was a shaved ice truck and Fiona got to experience her first shaved ice:
She liked it.
Meanwhile, Victoria was entertained by David:
And John:
Fiona and I sat on a chair made out of a tree trunk:
We didn’t sit for long because there were ants all over it.
Victoria fell asleep in the bassinet:
This little one gets cuter and cuter by the day and brings to much joy to our lives. I love her little smiles and giggles and how joyful she is. I love watching Fiona interact with her and play with her. We are so lucky to have her, lucky to have both girls, and we are thankful every day.
Just look at the face:
Who can resist it?
